The My Divine Concierge staff takes great pride in offering our customers truly personalized service to meet just about any need. However, simply claiming to offer truly personalized service doesn’t make it so. Our goal was to go above and beyond so as to accommodate our customers in any way we can within the scope of the services we offer. Therefore, we give a great deal of thought about what personalization means.
Offering truly personalized service requires understanding each client and his or her individual needs. It requires understanding what can be done to make the client’s life easier. Often it changes from one client to the next, which is why personalization is not something that can be charted in black-and-white.
If we’ve learned anything over the years, it is that truly personalized concierge service is characterized by a number of different things:
Personal service that clients truly appreciate is service that is flexible. Why is flexibility so important? Because things rarely happen exactly the way we want them to. Life happens; schedules and needs change as a result. Flexibility gives us an opportunity to handle client needs no matter how quickly or how often they change. Indeed, the concierge who can be flexible is one who is better at handling changing needs.
Of course, flexibility does have its limits. Our staff can’t always be pulled away from other scheduled work to exclusively address the need of another client that suddenly changed. We can work around the needs and requirements of both jobs to satisfy everyone involved.
A Willingness to Do
A willingness to do whatever it takes to make the client happy is another hallmark of truly personalized service. Let’s say you are one of our regular clients who receives weekly cleaning help. If a medical emergency were to send you to the hospital, we could stop over to your home to retrieve your pet or grab your medication. We could return later in the week to let in that contractor scheduled to replace your carpets. We are willing to do whatever we can to handle your household while you recover.
Punctuality and Timeliness
Personalization requires punctuality. If we say we are going to arrive at such and such a time, we will be there at that time. We know your time is too valuable to spend waiting for us to show up and do what we promised to do. Along with that is timeliness, which is to say we will complete the tasks you need to be completed as quickly and efficiently as possible. Again, we don’t want to waste your time or ours.
It’s a lot easier for us to offer personalized service when we have an abundance of resources to draw on. For example, we work in partnership with several different organizations to help resolve hoarding scenarios. When we assist clients with downsizing and moving, we have plenty of resources for packing supplies, moving trucks, etc.
The more resources the concierge provider has to draw from, the more personalized service will be. By the same token, limited resources constrain how personalized concierge service can be.
